A princess between two worlds
The Leia Mermaid brings together Princess Leia and Ariel in an underwater portrait that feels heroic, curious and playfully surreal. Leia keeps her unmistakable hairstyle and determined expression while taking on a mermaid’s tail, with Flounder swimming nearby and the Death Star floating in the distance.
Pop Symbiosis takes inspiration from the mergers between major film and entertainment companies. As once-separate fictional universes came together under shared corporate ownership, the series began imagining visual fusions between the characters themselves.
Here, Princess Leia’s courage and rebellious spirit meet Ariel’s curiosity and connection to the sea. The result is an underwater heroine who belongs equally to a distant galaxy and a fairy-tale ocean.
